I don't think anyone can really prepare you for the day your breastfeeding journey comes to an end.
One day you're nursing around the clock or attached to a pump... and before you know it, it's over.
It's such a bittersweet feeling.
Whether you breastfed for a few weeks, a few months, or a few years, that season of life is something you'll never get back. It wasn't always easy, but it was yours.
That's exactly why I started Golden Nest.
It Isn't About the Milk
When people hear "breastmilk jewelry," they usually think it's all about preserving the milk.
But to me, it has never been about the milk.
It's about preserving the memories.
The sleepy newborn cuddles.
The middle-of-the-night feeds.
The contact naps.
The little hands that reached for you because you were their safe place.
Those moments go by way too fast.
Every Piece Has a Story
One of my favorite parts of creating these pieces is hearing everyone's story.
Some moms are celebrating making it to their breastfeeding goal.
Some are creating something after saying goodbye to that chapter.
Others are combining milk from multiple babies into one piece so they can carry every journey with them.
There isn't one "right" story, and that's what makes every piece so special.
Made With So Much Love
Every piece is handmade by me right here in Arizona.
Once your milk arrives, I carefully preserve it before turning it into a stone that can be worn every day. I treat every order like it's my own because I know how much trust goes into sending something that's so personal.
A Little Piece of Your Story
Golden Nest actually started because I wanted something for myself.
After my own breastfeeding journey—and after pumping during my surrogacy journey—I wanted a way to hold onto those memories. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I started learning how to create it myself.
I never imagined it would grow into creating keepsakes for so many other moms, but I'm so thankful it has.
Every ring, necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings that leaves my studio represents someone's story.
And getting to be a small part of that is something I'll never take for granted.
Because motherhood changes us.
The moments may pass, but the memories don't have to.
